OneWave’s 8th Birthday - Sign up to create a Fluro Wave for mental health

Where local Covid-19 restrictions for outdoor public gatherings allow, we would love to see you create a fluro wave with a small group at your local beach/lake/school to raise awareness of mental health. Subject to Covid-19 laws and health guidance, all it takes is two or more people dressed in fluro to participate.

To register your Fluro Wave event, please read the Event Guidelines & Covid-19 Staying Safe information and complete the registration form and agree to the event terms. If your local health guidelines don't allow outdoor public gatherings we would be stoked if you posted a fluro selfie #flurofriday and joined our virtual fluro wave event.

How many people are allowed at outdoor public gatherings in your local area?

For example - Current restrictions for Greater Sydney, Central Coast and Wollongong (as at 1st March 2021): - No more than 50 people can gather outside in a public place which includes public parks, reserves, beaches, public gardens and spaces.

If more people register/show up than are allowed for outdoor public gatherings, will the local government allow you to set up separate fluro waves events in different parts of the beach (with no contact between the groups)?

This is not required for private events .

Do you accept OneWave's 8th Birthday event terms?

By selecting 'Yes' below, as an organiser of a fluro wave event I agree that: A) I will follow all relevant laws and health guidance for outdoor public gatherings when creating a fluro wave to celebrate OneWave's 8th Birthday on Friday 19th March. B) I will stay home rather than organising/attending a Fluro Friday event if I meet any of the following criteria: - If I have any Covid-19 symptoms, even mild symptons such as headache and slight runny nose, until I recover. - If I develop fever, cough and difficulty breathing, I will seek medical advice promptly as this may be due to a respiratory infection or other serious condition. - If I have been in close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19, I must also isolate for 14 days after my last contact with the confirmed case. - Other Government laws or health guidance in relation to Covid-19 prevent my attendance. C) If the laws and health guidance for outdoor public gatherings change in my area and it is not safe to organise a fluro wave I will cancel the event.
